We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Manager People & Culture Operations to join our highly professional and growing People & Culture division. This role will be based in our new, state of the art Head Office in Collingwood and will report to the Head of People & Culture – Operations.

The Manager People & Culture Operations will work collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team to deliver relevant, quality, value-add people solutions for the bank. This is an office based position.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the annual People & Culture Operations operating plan
  • Manage Bank Australia's people strategies and frameworks (including remuneration and performance management) to facilitate effective management of the Bank’s workforce.
  • Collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to develop and maintain systems, policies, processes and governance arrangements required to enable the Bank to establish clear workplace standards and manage all aspects of employee relations, wellbeing and safety
  • Keeping abreast of business and/or industrial relations legislative changes, including BEAR/FAR obligations and implementing relevant changes to policy and procedures
  • In consultation with the Chief People Officer and/or Head of People & Culture Operations, participate in the design of various People and Culture projects for implementation across the Bank
  • Ensure the Bank’s recruitment strategy and processes are fit for purpose
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the recruitment process and systems to enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience, and quality outcomes for the Bank
  • Ensure all recruitment policies, activities and procedures meet both state and national legislative requirements
  • Provide Talent Acquisition support as required
  • Manage the Bank’s remuneration benchmarking surveys
  • Oversee periodic performance processes
  • Oversee the remuneration review process ensuring equitable outcomes in line with the bank’s reward philosophies and remuneration strategy and framework
  • Oversee the annual employee engagement survey process across Bank Australia and work with P&C Business Partners to ensure business leaders implement action plans to drive culture change.

What you will bring

  • Demonstrable experience as a senior generalist in People and Culture / HR. This experience would typically include change management, project management, recruitment, remuneration, benefits, and policy development
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology, Business or related field is desirable
  • Leadership experience in HR and/or Organisational Development in a complex organisation, preferably within banking or financial services
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous experience in successfully providing coaching and feedback to stakeholders, leaders, peers and team members
  • Excellent level of compliance and legislation knowledge in relevant areas such as workplace relations and recruitment
