As Information Security Engineer (2 Vacancies - Fixed Term - Full Time (Contract ends 30th June 2026) and Permanent - Full Time), you’ll support the deployment and maintenance of security infrastructure across the organisation. This hands-on role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who can apply established procedures and contribute to a secure and resilient environment. You’ll implement and support cyber defence technologies, assist with monitoring and incident response, and contribute to key security projects and initiatives.

What you will be doing
- Support deployment, configuration and maintenance of security infrastructure
- Implement and manage cyber defence technologies including EDR, PAM and IPS
- Apply and maintain security controls in line with policy and risk assessments
- Monitor systems for security events and assist with incident response and investigation
- Perform risk and impact assessments for medium complexity systems
- Contribute to secure system architecture and configuration
- Conduct technical assessments and support accreditation of higher-risk systems
- Interpret and apply security policies to manage risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Maintain and optimise operational security processes across physical and digital assets
- Provide specialist advice and collaborate with domain experts to ensure sound security practices.
What you will bring
- Strong experience in Information Security, Cyber Security Engineering or related fields
- Sound knowledge of contemporary security tools, practices and concepts
- Familiarity with security standards such as NIST CSF, ISO27001 and PCI DSS
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to plan, prioritise and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Experience supporting level 2 security issues and documenting technical configurations
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and facilitate secure solution design
- Positive feedback from stakeholders on collaboration and communication
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, technology, business) – desirable
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISA or equivalent – desirable
- Experience in the financial services industry – highly regarded
