As Lending Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering efficient and accurate member relationship management across a broad range of banking services. You’ll engage with customers face-to-face and over the phone to understand their financial needs and identify suitable lending solutions. With a strong focus on customer service, you’ll actively cross-sell products, support individual customer goals, and contribute to professional branch operations that deliver exceptional sales and service outcomes.

What you will be doing
- Manage end-to-end lending conversations and applications, identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions
- Assist with all branch operations including, support members across multiple channels with lending enquiries, documentation, valuations, credit checks and loan funding
- Educate customers on the Bank’s products and services, supporting cross-selling opportunities and branch lending targets
- Maintain accurate records, manage a fast-moving lending pipeline, and use technology to deliver efficient service
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, Code of Conduct, statutory requirements and WHS obligations
- Meet performance and service standards and complete required training.
- Escalate concerns appropriately, contribute to continuous improvement, and perform additional duties as directed.
What you will bring
- Experience in a similar lending role within financial services
- Sound understanding of lending and credit principles, relevant legislation and mathematical concepts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a fast-paced lending pipeline
- High competency in computer and web applications, including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to build meaningful relationships, demonstrate empathy and adapt to change
- Proven ability to achieve results, contribute to purposeful banking and remain future ready
