The Loan Support Officer is responsible for ensuring employees and customers receive the highest possible level of quality service and assistance. This also applies consistently to all functions performed by the Lending Operations department as well as maintain strong working relationship with third party suppliers.

What you will be doing

  • Process loan variations, mortgage discharges, closures and consent matters efficiently and accurately
  • Action loan exception reports promptly and ensure tasks meet SLA timeframes
  • Liaise with third parties for settlement matters (e.g., LegalStream, PEXA, InfoTrack) and attend settlements on behalf of Bank Australia
  • Manage distribution and collection of paper title documents and maintain compliance with policies and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement by reviewing and recommending changes to processes and systems
  • Ensure customer needs are met with timely and accurate service across all loan support activities
  • Complete assigned training, maintain WHS awareness and perform additional duties as directed.

What you will bring

  • Previous experience in lending support or financial services, with knowledge of lending policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of core banking systems and relevant legislation (e.g., National Credit Act, Privacy Act)
  • Strong administration skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Effective decision-making, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy
  • Customer service orientation with a mature, professional attitude
  • Adaptability and initiative to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
