We currently have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Advisor to join our Corporate Affairs team. This role will develop and implement communications strategies that strengthen and protect the Bank Australia brand, and support stakeholder connection to our purpose, aspiration, values and responsible banking activity. The Corporate Affairs Advisor also plays a key role in supporting the bank’s proactive media and advocacy activity, issues and reputation risk management activity, and annual corporate reporting.

What you will be doing
- Develop communication plans that support the delivery of Bank Australia’s purpose, corporate strategy, business changes, key projects and partnerships
- Develop and deliver communications plans and advice to protect and build the bank’s brand
- Develop strategies to leverage the bank’s brand, investments and positions through stakeholder, customer and employee communication
- Work with the Corporate Affairs Manager on media, advocacy and thought leadership activity to support the Bank Australia brand
- Provide communications advice to the business on current and emerging issues
- Support the corporate reporting processes to deliver a meaningful report to customers and stakeholders.
- Support business units with communications planning and delivery on key business changes and major projects
- Support issues and crisis communications, and business continuity plan activities
- Monitor the media and social media for emerging issues relevant to the bank
- Work with external communications agencies, designers and event partners
What you will bring
- Significant corporate experience in corporate communications planning and delivery, internal communications, stakeholder relations, or relevant field
- Demonstrated interest in public policy, social and environmental issues in a business context
- Experience communicating and building relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Well-developed understanding of corporate affairs practice
- Highly developed communications planning, writing and execution skills
- Well-developed research and problem solving skills
- Experience developing and maintaining stakeholder networks
- Well-developed influencing and relationship management skills
- Exposure to issues management practice in a corporate reputation context
- Experience in developing communications plans and strategies for priority business projects
- Project management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous projects
