The Team Leader - Lending supports the Lending Department to deliver a high‑quality, consistent and customer‑focused lending experience aligned with Bank Australia’s strategic direction. Reporting to the Supervisor - Lending, the role leads and supports a team of Lending Consultants through coaching, mentoring and performance management to achieve team objectives. The Team Leader ensures strong customer service outcomes and operational consistency by monitoring performance against KPIs, overseeing credit analysis quality, building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and broker partners, and driving continuous process and operational improvements.

What you will be doing
- Lead and coach a team of Lending Consultants to deliver high‑quality customer outcomes and meet performance targets.
- Ensure consistent application of lending policies, procedures and service standards across the team.
- Monitor team performance, including credit analysis quality, loan turnaround times and accuracy, providing regular feedback and reporting.
- Identify skills gaps and support capability uplift through structured training, knowledge sharing and mentoring.
- Support the development and implementation of distribution and operational strategies, with a focus on process improvement.
- Keep the team informed of changes impacting lending services, ensuring alignment and effective delivery.
- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals, providing recommendations to support development and ongoing performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and broker partners, and perform additional duties as required.
