We’re seeking an experienced Initiatives Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Property to lead the design, delivery and embedment of key transformation initiatives across our Strategic Sourcing and Property (SS&P) function.

This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in procurement, strategic sourcing or vendor management, with a track record of driving uplift initiatives within a procurement function. This role can be based out of the Head Office in Melbourne (Collingwood) or Sydney (Mascot and is soon to be relocated to the CBD).

Operating in a “grow the business” capacity, the role focuses on strengthening procurement capability, enhancing supplier governance, improving sourcing processes and systems, and uplifting risk and compliance practices. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the function evolves to meet organisational strategy, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the design, delivery and embedment of strategic initiatives across Strategic Sourcing & Property, translating strategy into actionable programs and measurable outcomes
  • Manage program delivery and governance, including planning, reporting, risk management and coordination of multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Drive end-to-end procurement process uplift across the sourcing and vendor lifecycle, including standardisation, simplification and automation
  • Lead enhancements to procurement systems and tools (e.g. P2P, vendor risk platforms), improving visibility, compliance and user experience
  • Strengthen procurement governance and third-party risk management by embedding regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g. CPS230, Modern Slavery, B Corp)
  • Establish and implement initiatives to uplift property systems, data and reporting, improving visibility, accuracy and decision-making
  • Lead and support SS&P managed procurement initiatives (e.g. travel booking systems, motor vehicle programs, and property-related sourcing such as facilities and cleaning), including system upgrades and enhancements such as lease management platforms
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology and the business to ensure successful adoption and transition into BAU

What you will bring

  • Demonstrated experience within procurement, strategic sourcing or vendor management functions
  • Proven track record delivering procurement transformation, uplift or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong program and project management capability across multiple streams
  • Solid understanding of governance, risk and compliance within a regulated environment, financial services is desirable
